Research in the Yimlamai Lab is directed at understanding the drivers of human liver disease, particularly in Pediatric diseases such as biliary atresia and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.
Our focus is in the cell biology of epithelial cells with their microenvironment and we are seeking a motivated, dynamic postdoctoral candidate who is interested in applying cell biology, organoid and animal model approaches to understanding fundamental mechanisms in liver biology. As a member of the Yale Liver center, lab members have access to the Morphology cores with State-of-the-art cell and molecular imaging facilities.
During this time, the successful applicant will obtain further training on in vivo models as well as a range of cell and molecular biology techniques. The candidate will be expected to have an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD with experience in cellular and molecular biology. Preference to candidates with involvement in liver pathophysiology will be given, but it is not a requirement. The successful candidate will have the capacity for independent evaluation of the literature. Prior knowledge in cell culture techniques, primary cell isolation/culture, flow cytometry and imaging techniques would be an added benefit.
Interested applicants should send a brief statement of interest and curriculum vitae with contact information for three references to the Principal Investigator, Dr. Dean Yimlamai - [email protected].
